Description
FAME First Friday will be on Main Street this September, right outside the Bastrop County Museum & Visitor Center, and will be celebrating the start of Hispanic Heritage Month! Brought to you by the Bastrop Cultural Arts Commission, visitors can enjoy a salsa contest, prizes, music, and much more.
The museum will be contributing to the festivities by inviting visitors to make flores de papel (paper flowers). We’ll provide all the supplies and teach you how to make this beautiful traditional craft. Create a flower with a special message honoring a loved one who has passed to be included in our upcoming Día de los Muertos display, or make a flower simply to take home and enjoy.
The activity is free and open to all ages. Come celebrate, create, and help us bring our Día de los Muertos display to life!
