Please join us as we showcase the artists, makers, and musicians that call Elgin home! Events include an Artists & Makers Market at Veterans Memorial Park, self-guided public art walks downtown, live art demonstrations, studio tours of local artists, Artists Talks with local muralists, live music, film screenings, live blacksmithing, church sanctuary tours, and more! Art forms include jewelry, ornamental metal smithing, all mediums of painting, fiber arts, photography, woodworking, sculptures, and more! There will be locally grown produce, teas, soaps, salves, and lotions. The art walk highlights the public art displayed in the downtown area, including murals and “ghost signs” on buildings from days ago. Parks and Recreation & the Library will host activities for the whole family. Visit the Mary Christian Burleson homestead, Elgin’s oldest house.
