After the parade downtown next Saturday, the Sesquicentennial Committee and ELGIN VFW Post #6115 invite you to Thank A Veteran for their service by purchasing a ticket to Elgin's Empty Bowl in their honor. Area Veterans can enjoy a FREE lunch during the Empty Bowl event 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Purchases can be made in advance online or at the door on November 12th. This is doing two good deeds at once. Purchasing a ticket not only feeds a veteran, but it also helps the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry.
