$5 Per Team of 2-5 Members 

Get ready for the most anticipated aquatic showdown of the summer! The Annual Cardboard Boat Race is back, better, and more thrilling than ever. This year, we're kicking things off with the Pre-Built Boat Race, where teams of all ages can put their engineering and paddling skills to the test. Gather your crew (a maximum of 5 members, minimum of 2) because for just $5 per team, you not only get to race your cardboard creation, but you also score access to the Build-A-Boat Day at the Elgin Recreation Center on Friday, August 8th, from 2PM - 8PM to build your boat! 

But the excitement doesn't stop there! If you thrive under pressure and love a good challenge, stick around for our Speed Build Round happening right after. For just $5 per team, you'll have to think fast and build even faster to construct a seaworthy vessel on the fly using cardboard, duct tape and scissors in 20 minutes. Will your impromptu design sink or swim? Only one way to find out! Join us on Saturday, August 9th from 10AM - 12PM at Morris Memorial Pool with the Pre-Built Boat Race beginning at 10:30 AM sharp!
