Peace, Love Western Days Parade

Description

Join the Elgin Chamber of Commerce for the beloved Grand Parade, a treasured community tradition and highlight of the 57th Annual Western Days celebration. This year’s theme, Peace, Love, and Western Days, brings a fun and colorful 1960s twist to the festivities as the streets fill with excited community members ready to enjoy the spectacle of floats, vehicles, and more.

The parade begins promptly at 10 AM, so be sure to arrive early and join in the celebration. Check-in begins at 7 AM. Local businesses, organizations, civic groups, and community members are encouraged to participate and showcase their creativity and community spirit.

Entry fee is $25.

Float Categories Include:

  • Best of Business
  • Best of Community
  • Best of Individual or Car
  • Best of Mounted
  • Best of Civic or Non Profit
  • And Cash Prizes for Best Overall:
    • 1st Place: $100
    • 2nd Place: $50
    • 3rd Place: $25
